Richard Louis Hundt Sr., 84 of Plymouth, Indiana passed away on May 9, 2023, at 2:42 p.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. On December 9, 1938, in North Judson, Indiana he was born to Art William Hundt and Helen (Hazen) Hundt. Richard had lived most of his life in Marshal County.
In May of 1959 he married Loretta J. Warner and together they shared the next 64 years.
Richard worked at Bremen Foundry for 24 years retiring in 2013. He farmed and ran Hundt Market for many years.
Richard served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959. He was a member of New Song Church, Plymouth, Indiana; for many years he coached Little League in LaPaz, Indiana and bowled on several area leagues. He was a frequent vendor at Farmers Market in Plymouth.
Richard is survived by his Wife – Loretta Hundt of Plymouth, Indiana
Children – Mary Dean and husband Earl of Vandalia, Michigan; Sharon Ream of Plymouth, Indiana; Richard Hundt Jr. of Wabash, Indiana; and Peggy Johnson of Argos, Indiana.

Brothers – Paul Hundt and wife Chris of Plymouth, Indiana; and Frank Hundt and wife Robin of Floridia
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Son – Ricky Lee Hundt
Friends may visit with the family Monday May 15, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at New Song Church, 1292 Baker St., Plymouth, Indiana, with funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Justin Chambers will officiate. Burial will follow at New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana with the United States Navy Honor Guard.
