Richard Hagan Obituary

Richard Ellison Hagan, 91 of Autumn Trace, Plymouth, Indiana passed away at 7:30 a.m. on July 9, 2021 at his residence. On October 31, 1929 in Argos, Indiana he was born to William Clarence Hagan and Velma C. (Grossman) Hagan. He had lived most of his life in Argos community. 

On April 9, 1949 in Rochester, Indiana he married Carolyn Ruth Wynn. With each other they shared the past 41 years before she passed away on October 14, 1990.

He was a Brick and Stone Mason, and a Seed Dealer for CISCO Seed.

Richard was a member of the Brick Layers Union of South Bend, Indiana, and a past member of the Moose Lodge in Plymouth, Indiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Richard was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1947.

Richard is survived by his Daughter – Deborah Sue Powell of Westfield, Indiana

Sons – Stephen Richard Hagan and wife Dorothy of North Liberty, Indiana; Charles William Hagan and wife Susan of Brentwood, Tennessee; Gregory Maurice Hagan and wife Michelle of Carrollton, Georgia; and Timothy Raymond Hagan and wife Debbie of Castle Rock, Colorado.

Son-in-Law - Philip Weybright of Plymouth, Indiana

15 Grandchildren    14 Great Grandchildren

Sisters – Carolyn Sherwood of Hartselle, Alabama; Beverly Eich and husband Leo of Mesa, Arizona; and Suzanne Hagan of Australia.

Brothers – Max Hagan of Ramona, California; Jarrell Hagan and wife Ann of Beaver Creek, Ohio  

Sister-in-Law - Darle Hagan of Auburn, Indiana; and Alice Hardesty of Mentone, Indiana

Brother-in-Law - Donald Wynn of New Paris, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his Parents; Wife; Daughter – Cynthia Weybright; and Brother – Maurice Hagan; and Sisters – Joyce Kesler and Julia Ann Hagan  

 

The family will welcome friends and family at Opie's Deli, 114 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on August 5, 2021.
