Michael Angelo Bernero, 82 of Plymouth, Indiana passed away on March 3, 2021 at 9:23 p.m. at his residence. On March 7, 1938 in Plymouth, Indiana he was born to Frank W. Bernero and Cecila (Kinsey) Bernero. Michael had lived all of his life in the Plymouth community.
On August 17, 1957 in Knox, Indiana he Married Veronica Evelyn Estok and together they shared 50 years until she passed away on June 10, 2008.
He worked for NIPSCO in the Underground Storage and Gas Line Departments.
Michael was a graduate of Plymouth High School with the class of 1956. He served in the United States Army from 1956 – 1958 as a MP.
He had been affiliated with St. Michael Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Plymouth, Indiana. Michael formed the Marshall County Tax Awareness Committee and served as the President.
Michael is survived by his Son – Marc Bernero and wife Lisa of Plymouth, Indiana
Daughters – Charlene Espich and husband James of Plymouth, Indiana; and Rhonda Schuh of Plymouth, Indiana
5 Grandchildren and a Great Grandson
Sister – Kathy Trout and husband Art of Akron, Indiana
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Wife; Son – Patrick; and Sisters – Mona Stetler, Sondra Kamp, Diane Bernero, and Mary Dipert
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Oakhill Cemetery; 1300 Chester St., Plymouth, Indiana with burial will follow.
Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army burial unit and the Plymouth American Legion and V.F.W.
