C. Meril Overmyer

C. Meril Overmyer, 86 of Argos passed away at 2:04 a.m. on November 23, 2021 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. On June 16, 1935 in Rural Marshall County, Indiana he was born to Clifford M. Overmyer and Cornelia L. (Crow) Overmyer. He lived all of his life in Marshall County.

On October 15, 1954 at the Santa Anna Church, Argos, Indiana he married Dorothy E. Swoverland and together they shared the next 67 years.

Meril worked as a truck driver for 30 years, and at Del-Monte for 20 years in the maintenance department. Meril was a farmer having farmed for over 55 years.

He was a member of Santa Anna Church, Argos, Indiana; and a graduate of Culver High School with the class of 1953. Meril did wood working and could build and fix anything. 

Meril is survived by his wife – Dorothy Overmyer of Argos, Indiana

Daughter – Deb Burkett and husband Jim of Argos, Indiana.

Son – Tim Overmyer and wife Lori of Argos, Indiana.

5 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren

Sister – Mary Huber and husband Randy of Syracuse, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his: Parents; Grandson – Andrew Overmyer; Great Grandson – Elias Beldon; Sisters – Lenora Voreis and Violet Overmyer.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday November 29, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. 

Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
