Wilma Jean (Hammond) Troyer

Wilma Jean (Hammond) Troyer, 73 of Lincoln Street, Argos, Indiana died on February 6, 2019 at 9:08 a.m. at her residence where she had been in declining health the past several months. On June 17, 1945 in Alger, Ohio she was born to Herbert and Hazel B. (Craft) Hammond and had lived most of her adult life in the Argos community.

On May 15, 1965 in Grovertown, Indiana she married John William Troyer and together they would have shared 55 years this May. Wilma was a Housewife/Homemaker.

Wilma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Argos, Indiana, and was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1963. Wilma loved to watch Jeopardy, crafts, painting, and scrapbooking. She enjoyed singing at church and traveling to visit family in Kentucky for reunions. Wilma’s babysitting gained her many “extra children” – Mason, Mitchell, Morgan, Maggie, Alaura, Kendell, Gaby, Cynthia, and Jesselyn.

Wilma is survived by her Husband – John Troyer of Argos, Indiana

Daughters – Tanya Love Heiman and Tamar Lynae Troyer both of Argos, Indiana

Step-Grandson – Zakery Heiman of Argos, Indiana

Brothers – Gerrel Hammond and wife Pat of Etna Green, Indiana; Michael Hammond and wife Tresa of Plymouth, Indiana; Chris Hammond and wife Kathy of Akron, Indiana

Sisters – Mary Lois Watson and husband William of Plymouth, Indiana; and Sherry Ann Harrington and husband Robert of Argos, Indiana

Sister-in-Law – Christine Hammond of Argos, Indiana

She is preceded in death by her Parents; and Brother – Gary Hammond; and Sisters – Thelma Hammond, Patty Geiselman

Friends may visit with the family on Friday February 8, 2019 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ; 15676 Michigan Road, Argos, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ; 15676 Michigan Road, Argos, Indiana with Rev. Lloyd Howard of the Church of Jesus Christ. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
