Ronald Johnson Obituary

Ronald William Johnson, 72 of 18th Rd., Argos, Indiana died on August 20, 2018 at 2:47 p.m. at the Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, Indiana where he had been in declining health. On January 2, 1946 in Argos, Indiana he was born to William J. Johnson and Pauline May (Humes) Johnson and had lived all of his life in the Argos, Tippecanoe, and Culver community’s.

On May 28, 2005 at the Argos United Methodist Church he married Janice Hildebrand and together they shared the past 13 years.

Ron worked for the Indiana State Highway Department, Rochester Branch for 35 years, retiring in 2006.

Ron was a graduate of Triton High School with the class of 1964. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1966 – 1968 during the Vietnam Conflict and he was a member of the FOE Eagles Lodge 852, Rochester, Indiana.

Ron is survived by his Wife – Janice Johnson of Argos, Indiana

Son – Ronald Johnson and wife Shelley of Rochester, Indiana

Step-Sons – Eric Hansen and wife Karen of Michigan; Chris Hansen and wife Amber of Wakarusa, Indiana; and Kevin Hansen of Bremen, Indiana

5 Grandchildren

Brother – Larry Johnson and friend Theresa of Rochester, Indiana

Sister – Terry Yeazel of Rochester, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his Parents, and brother-in-law – Allan Yeazel

 

Friends may visit with the family on Friday August 24, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 24, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. of the Walnut Church of the Brethren, Argos, Indiana.

Burial will follow at the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe, Indiana with the James Lowell Corey American Legion Post #68, Argos, Indiana conducting Military Honors.
