Garry Nichols Obituary
Garry L. Nichols, 64 of S. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana died on February 21, 2018 at 7:27 a.m. at Memorial Hospital in South Send, Indiana following a sudden illness.
Garry was born on October 23, 1953 in Peru, Indiana to Harold “Nick” Nichols and Chloe Marie (Boyer) Nichols and had lived in Argos the past 28 years, coming from the Bass Lake Area.
On May 19, 1990 in Plymouth, Indiana he married Michelle L. Lowry and together had shared the past 27 years with each other.
Garry was self-employed owning and operating G&M Repair as a Fork Lift Technician. He also worked for BT Equipment in Goshen, Indiana.
Garry had served on the Bass Lake Fire Department from 1971 to 1989 and had served as Fire Chief.
He was a graduate of Knox High School with the class of 1972.
Garry is survived by his Wife – Michelle Nichols of Argos, Indiana
Daughters – Carrie J. Balchunas and husband Alan of Delphi, Indiana; and Heather N. Corn and husband Bryan of Culver, Indiana
Son – Jason L. Nichols and wife Alisha of Argos, Indiana
6 Grandchildren – Kaydence, Peyton, Gabriel, Samantha, Hope, and Aryonna
Brother – Terry W. Nichols and wife Lisa of Knox, Indiana
Sisters – Sherry Fort and husband George of Knox, Indiana; Linda Combs and husband Larry of Knox, Indiana; and Lori Rowe of Brownsburg, Indiana
He is preceded in death by his Parents
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday February 27, 2018 from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday February 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. of the Walnut Church of the Brethren.
Burial will follow at New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
