Claudette (Howard) Stevens, 82 of Lakeville, Indiana died on January 21, 2019 at 1:58 p.m. at the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana where she had been in declining health the past couple of years. On July 18, 1936 in Perry County, Kentucky she was born to Troy Howard and Launa (Stacy) Howard. Claudette had lived most of her life in Marshall County, Indiana.
On June 13, 1953 in Perry County, Kentucky she married Hobert Eugene Stevens and together they shared the past 65 years together.
She was a Housewife/Homemaker and the wife of a Pastor. Claudette was a dedicated mother of 5 children and her life was and example of a dedicated woman of God.
Claudette is survived by her Husband – Hobert Stevens, Lakeville, Indiana
Daughters – Sheila Chizum of Indianapolis, Indiana; Debbie McCann and husband Gregory of South Bend, Indiana; Rita White and husband Glenn of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania
Sons – Hobert Stevens Jr. and wife Mary of Argos, Indiana; and Timothy Stevens of South Bend, Indiana
12 Grandchildren 26 Great Grandchildren 8 Great-Great Grandchildren
Brother – Harold Howard and wife Meridean of Rochester, Indiana; Olin Howard and wife Betty of Plymouth, Indiana; and Denton Howard and wife Gloria of Jonesboro, Indiana
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Grandson-Nickolas Andrews, Great Grandchildren-Abagail White and Darian McGrath, Brother – William Howard, and Sister – Janice Collins
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home; 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Denton Howard. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana
