Carl Lee Lowry, 76 of Argos, Indiana died on October 3, 2018 at 9:45 p.m. at Life Care Center, Rochester, Indiana where he had been in declining health the past year. On March 22, 1942 in Plymouth, Indiana he was born to Edward Lowry and Marie (Hart) Lowry and had lived all of his life in Marshall County.
On October 3, 1971 at the Santa Anne United Methodist Church he married Linda K. Gibbons and together they shared 47 years.
Carl had worked for H&B Equipment, Wiers International, and Reese Farm Equipment now Bane-Welker all of Plymouth, Indiana.
He attended Walnut Church of the Brethren, Argos, Indiana and was a member of the Argos American Legion (Sons of the Legion Post #68) Argos, Indiana. Carl was a graduate of Plymouth High School with the class of 1960.
Carl is survived by his Wife – Linda Lowry of Argos, Indiana
Son – Michael Lowry and wife Linda of Rochester, Indiana
Daughters – Michelle Nichols of Argos, Indiana; Karen Newman and husband Kevin of Plymouth, Indiana; Lisa Overmyer and husband Brett of Rochester, Indiana; Lori Virgil and husband Bruce of Plymouth, Indiana
10 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchildren
Sisters – Mary McGriff of Argos, Indiana; and Jody Friend and husband Joe of Michigan City, Indiana
He is preceded in death by his Parents; Son – Richard Lowry; Sister – Patricia “Patty” Brugh; and Brother – John Lowry
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday October 9, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on October 9, 2018 at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. of the Walnut Church of the Brethren.
Burial will follow at the Maxinkuckee I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Poplar Grove, State Road 10, Culver, Indiana.
