Annabelle Lois (Low) Fishburn

Annabelle Lois (Low) Fishburn, 83 of Cook Lake, Plymouth, Indiana died on Thursday May 10, 2018 at 2:10 p.m. at her residence in the care of her loving husband, with wonderful help from Hospice. She had been in failing health for several years.

She was born on December 29, 1934 in Niles, Michigan to Herbert and Mary (Myers) Low. Upon graduation from Niles High School in 1952, she worked for a Law firm, as well as a bank.

On October 6, 1957 in Niles, Michigan she married Loy Fishburn of Argos, Indiana, joining him there in the dairy and grain farming business. After raising 3 sons and a daughter, Loy and Ann quit the dairy and cut back on grain farming. As Loy started working full time off the farm, Ann worked as a trim carpenter at two different trailer factories, later turning the farm operation over to the boys. On November 15, 1959 Loy and Ann both accepted Christ as their Savior. Ann became very active in the church, serving as Sunday School teacher, clerk, secretary and many other duties, including the church choir.

Loy says from the time they first married, Ann always had a love for the Elderly. She was always visiting with them, and looking after their needs in any way she could. After taking full-time care of her father the last 3 years of his life, she started doing Home Care full-time, helping many people. Unfortunately, in 1996 she suffered a rare stroke of the spine that left her confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of her life, ending her ability to care for others.

Annabelle is survived by her Husband – Loy Fishburn of Plymouth, Indiana

Daughter – Denene Vazquez of Plymouth, Indiana

Sons – Steven Fishburn and wife Cindy of Richland Center, Indiana; Michael Fishburn and wife Lora of Williamsport, Ohio; and Jeffery Fishburn and wife Lora of Argos, Indiana

15 Grandchildren           20 Great Grandchildren              3 Great-Great Grandchildren

Brother – Larry Low and wife Sharon of Niles, Michigan; and Ron Low of Niles, Michigan

Sister – Alta Hood and husband Ray of Pinellas Park, Florida

She is preceded in death by her Parent, and Sisters – Arletta Ringer and Alma Tarner

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday May 13, 2018 from 2 – 6 p.m. EST at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana 

Funeral Services will be held on Monday May 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. EST at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Rev. Mark Fishburn.

Burial will follow at  New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana
