Robert "Bob" Lowell Voreis, 99 of Argos, Indiana passed away April 26, 2024, at 8:19 a.m. at his residence. On January 29, 1925, in Argos, Indiana he was born to William Guy Voreis and Esther Ineze (Fishburn) Voreis. He’s lived all his life in the Argos community.
On June 20, 1947, he married Jennie June Nifong and together, they shared the next 30 years until she passed on October 12, 1977. He then married Lenora Kathryn Smith on May 28, 1979, and together they would share 18 years before she passed on February 10, 1997.
Bob worked at Bendix Corporation, South Bend, Indiana for 20 plus years, and then started his next career as the Mail Carrier for the Argos Post Office.
Bob was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1943. He was called to serve his country on May 28, 1943, and joined the United States Navy, Seaman First Class Robert Voreis received his Honorable Discharge on February 20, 1946. He was a member of the Argos American Legion, Argos, Indiana.
Bob is survived by his Children – Teresa Baney and husband Rick of Atwood, Indiana, and Robert L. Voreis and wife Ruth of Claypool, Indiana
Stepchildren – Kathy Evans of Argos, Indiana; Karen Smith of Argos, Indiana; Kimberly Lockwood and husband Jim of Plymouth, Indiana
11 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren

Bob was preceded in death by his Parents, Sisters – Patricia Williams, and Donna Bell Luebker, and stepson – Kenny Smith
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday May 2, 2024, from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Banning and Pastor Jerry Thomas. Burial will follow at New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
